DongleControl supports every content type your service needs. Each slide has a type that determines how it’s displayed and edited.

Scripture

Display Bible verses with automatic formatting and multi-translation support.

  • Search for any verse in the Bible Browser
  • Multiple translations: NIV, ESV, KJV, NASB, NLT, and more
  • Auto-split: Long passages automatically break into multiple slides based on lines-per-slide setting
  • Customizable: Font, size, and background per section

Worship Lyrics

Song lyrics with verse/chorus/bridge structure.

  • Import lyrics from your worship planning tool or paste them directly
  • Grid mode: Click a section name (Verse 1, Chorus, Bridge) to jump directly to it
  • Keep Background on Clear: When you press Esc, the background stays while lyrics disappear β€” perfect for transitions between song sections

Images

Display any image file on the projector.

  • Supports PNG, JPG, WebP, and SVG
  • Drag and drop from your file manager
  • Images scale to fill the projector output
  • Great for welcome slides, announcements, and custom graphics

Tip: Design your slides in Canva at 1920x1080, export as PNG, and import them into DongleControl.

Video

Play video files directly on the projector.

  • Supports MP4, WebM, and other common formats
  • Audio plays through the projector output
  • Use as section intros, sermon illustrations, or announcement loops

PowerPoint

Import existing PowerPoint presentations.

  • Import .pptx files directly
  • Each PowerPoint slide becomes a DongleControl slide
  • Grid mode: Navigate PowerPoint slides within a section
  • Keep using presentations your team has already created

Custom HTML

For advanced users β€” display custom HTML content.

  • Import from Canva embed links
  • Full HTML/CSS support
  • Useful for complex layouts, animated content, or branded templates

Organizing Slides into Sections

Slides are grouped into sections β€” a worship set, a scripture reading, announcements, etc. Each section can have its own settings:

Auto-AdvanceAutomatically advance slides at a set interval (great for announcement loops)

Sections appear in the left thumbnail panel, with dividers between them. Click a section header to jump to it.
